Food for Thought

 You're Fired!

How many times have we, in the midst of chaos and bills, been so in love with our lives, despite our personal economic battles and chores, our personal relationships are thriving until....

an unwelcome guest pokes its ugly face in the door.  This unwelcome guest can be masked in meeting an old acquaintance or hearing news of someone from your past, or an old memory.

In the business world one is entitled to "fire" a customer. Contrary to popular belief, the customer is NOT always right. "We Reserve the Right To Refuse Service To Anyone".  And in your life, you should reserve the right to "fire" certain people from your life.

Yesterday I was visiting with a friend. She has 5 girls and is due for baby no. 6 soon. She remains wedded and lives on 2 beautiful acres. However, presently, she can only afford a small trailer home to house her family of 7 going on 8. But there's always food on the table and she sports a smile and is genuinely appreciative and hopeful of her future Party Planning business.

She told me of how she was visited my guests who casually mocked her quaint living arrangements and lack of storage space and it got me to thinking, she should fire those guests!

Maybe not so abruptly, but everyone has a right to "fire" whatever circumstance that is not working in their life.

I personally "fired" (eliminated) a social networking site from my life. Somehow, it made me feel inadequate. So I deleted the entire account and I felt great ease at doing so.

Who or what do you need to "fire" from your life?
