Toshiba L-635 Kids' PC
"Built for Tough Handling" -Toshiba.com
I received this as a gift (yes, generous gift) and I'm in love with it. It's got all the capabilities of a laptop but made for children and with children in mind. The keys are ultra soft, coined as the "wipeable keyboard". It comes with one year subscription to Net-Nanny, which filters online access. Additionally, it comes with a built in web-cam, DVD, and pre-installed with Lego Batman, The Princess & The Frog and Toy Story 2 and KidZui, "the internet done kids' style". Among other specs I'm just gonna copy and paste: 2GB RAM, 250 GB Hard Drive, 13.3 HD Display.
Since I was already in the mood researching cool tech finds for kids, when it comes to kids (at least my little ones), it needs to look fun, and doesn't noisy little panda just ooze fun?!?
Plus these little suckers can double as speakers for blasting LadyGaga (Fast-forward 10: kid says "I used to listen to what?!?!?) while off roading in your husband's beat-up pickup which, by the way, does not have fm radio, much less mp3 capabilities. And nothing spells fatherhood better than good ol' embarrassment.
